85mph10gallons of gas and plenty of fumes later.
We were at **&%%$# street in tampa me a nd a buddy in a 95 4wd suburban and he being cocky cause he just put exhaust on his truck so we decided to run. My tranny was acting up so i had to manually shift it ant what sounded like a staggering 4000 rpm...lol We took off together but my truck is geared taller so I could hold first gear till about 45-50 mph at which point i had a car/truck lenght on him and we kept going till about 85 -90 mph at which poit everything that is alive and reasonable was shouting at me to slow all 7500 friggin lbs of suburban down the sensation is like that of a 80s tercel with 15 year old shocks at 475mph on an overpass during a hurricane running away from an earthquake. I checked my fuel guage and it appeared that the run used about an 1/8th of a frigin tank. My truck is keeping some third world country happy im sure but I beat a burban that was years newer. It had type R badges on it and taylor (vortecfl) can be quote:2638be9dd1d as saying that it was in fact the slowest race he has ever seen.
