yeah So I got the big yellow beast out for a drive last night and went up to Autozone in Temple terrace to order a few parts for it and on the way back it started to run like shit again.. dammit every time I drive it more than 10 minutes it starts acting up... anywyas i get to the light at 56th and fowler making a left on fowler and there is a guy next to me in a newer full size ford van company vehicle..

I barely hear this WHIRRRR WHIIRRRR!!! noise coming from it I look over at him and he is grinning like a Cheshire Cat.. Wanna Race??? I Smile laugh and say suuure!!

The light turns grenn I step on the gas roll out about 5 feet and it stalls Damn!!! I pop it in Neutral start it up slam it down into gear again get about 20 feet and stall it again... we are neck and neck but he is pulling away while my car is turned off... I get it started one more time drop it in Drive and put my foot through the floor I instantly jump ahead 2 or 3 car lengths and the dart starts to hesitate big time Oh no! ahh but then a sigh of relief as it shifts into second gear and all the problems seem to go away I put about 200 yards on him by the next light...

Dammit someone help me fix this thing??

sounds like someone needs a fuel filter what it sounds like it is doing is sucking the carb dry before the fuel line can replenish it same symptoms my truck had before i fixed it running the car below 1/4 of a tank of gas is what usually causes this prob hope I helped.

 

yeah I am sure the problem is either a vapor lock or plain old fuel delivery problem but I have a Holly Race fuel pump on it new filters and all so I dont think its the latter must be vapor lock too bad I dont know jack about fixing it (plus I am sick and tired of trying to fix this car.)
