Without F/I or major internal work Sis are slow. They have 111ft/lbs of torque stock which isnt a lot to move a 2700lb car from a roll. A quote from a Si sales brochure:

Textbook example of not knowing how to drive. The VR6 should have won but not that badly.
An Si weighs 2700 lbs! I thought it was supposed to be an econobox. My car weighs that much and its based on a 626.
