Race with a corvette

Thats right I put the RX-7 up against a corvette. I was driving on Anderson Road in tampa when this Vette comes flying past me. He pulls up to the red light in the right lane and I pull up in the left lane. He looks and smiles so I start revvin the rotary the light turns green and I drop the clutch at about 4000 I leaped ahaed by almost a car length then reality set in and he blew past me he was ahead by about 3 car lengths after about 1/8 of a mile. I know I lost just thought I would tell it anyway. Also would like to note this was my first drag race in the mazda ever.

he probably wanted to let you make a fool of yourself and make sure you wouldnt run into him.. then he was like let me take care of this guy as he buried the go pedal.. good job admitting it though..
