2000 V8 mustang gets a spanking

On the way home tonight I got my first race with the new body style V8 mustang. He lined up next to me on Dale Mabry and Waters. Neither of us launched but after matching
each others speeds gradually halfway through first gear we both jumped on the throttle. At the end of first I had about one car length on him. By the time I got into third gear I had pulled about three more cars on him. After the race he rolled up next to me and asked what I had in my civic. He was completely dumbfounded. He asked if I had a turbo. I said no just a VTEC with a header and exhaust. He told me my car was fast. I said thanks and waved. He waved and went the other way. It wasnt as tasty as a cornish Italian pastry but it was fun.
