SpeedNGreed...

Why do you consider them sand bagging?? sand bagging is when you only race JUST fast enough to beat the other guy so that the true performance potential of your car is kept secret (i.e. Abel Ibarras old flaco car...most experts say hes never done a full pass in that car...never really had too). I dont see how they were sand bagging if they damn near kept up. if they were sandbagging they would have beaten your 200+ HP GSR

now as for that claim...id like to see you run that car on the dyno...id also like to see you run (quote:048bb2f901d from YOUR webpage)

0-60 mph in low 6s.
1/4 mile in low 14s at 97 mph.

with (also quote:048bb2f901d)
Moroso Cold Air Induction (intake)
GReddy exhaust
Speed Chip--advanced computer chip (adds 5-10 hp)
DC Sports Header
TRMotorsports Aluminum Rims--TYPHOON model with ultra-low profile tires.
NeuSpeed Springs (lowered 1)

Sorry being a fellow GSR owner...and friend to many people who have had GSRs over the years. those ET MPH and HP figures are just plain wrong. If you have read anything further than Super Street about your car you will find that actual drivetrain losses are around the 14 % range. this means you would have to lay down 172 Hp SAE corrected on the wheels on a dyno to be making 200 Hp....I wish you luck...ive seen cars with much more work than what you have struggle to make the 165 mark...shit I only hit the 160 mark!! thats with Iceman Comptech SS header(ranked 2nd behind mugen in tests) high flow cat DC ss Exhaust JUN Cam Gears and ignition timing set at 18 Deg. BDC.

the way i see it from a good deal of experience on a dyno...heres what you have

intake-- 3hp
header-- 6hp
exhaust- 5hp
chip -- 3hp (maybe)

plus 170 hp to the CRANK

now i consider all that to be pretty generous... but heres your total anyway

187 Hp to the CRANK...(160 to the wheels...same as i however im @ 130k miles )

long cry from 200+ Hp

Resurecting the dead threads again huh... If more people would "hit the track" we might have a new thread once in a while.... Maybe when i get everything back together ill take it out for a few test passes and report back?
