Was driving my moms car around because she wanted me to wash it for her after all this rain and It's so slow it hurts my feelings because it's a good looking car... for a woman... anyhow It's the new sky and If u haven't driven one don't waste your time.

So since it's a fairly rare car as of now it gets a decent amount of looks and I don't drive it too often for fear that something decent will destroy me. But i just happend to run up on a mid 90's accord with the body kit, lights, stickers, altezzas.. all the essentials on the way to wash it. And he revs at me like no tommorrow. So i figure what the hell i used to own an accord and i think i can take him. So when the light went green i jumped him by a car real quick because hell RWD owns FWD though i didn't get the tires to spin because I'm not used to the car. By second i had another car and it was steady from there didn't really pull much more... i felt retarded but it was funny none the less.

So first and hopefully last kill in Mom's sky. Well until she gets the redline hopefully soon.

me and my girl were gonna get her a redline sky..but we decided to get a vette instead i think shes happy with the decision

 

The 2.4 sky's are turds. The auto's are really bad. 1st gear seems really really long and its hard to get the tires to spin. The manual is a little better, but still seems slow, even for the advertised 177hp (must be flywheel).

The redline is another story. auto or manual, both scoot pretty well. It driven right, it feels like a mid to high 13 sec ride. I deffenatly wouldn't be scared run a GT mustang in one. BUT, i feel the turbo is rather small. They couldhave used a bigger compressor and made as mcuh or mure power with less boost...shit, I put out about 60-70 more hp at the wheels with a smaller engine and 5-6 less lbs of boost.

They do handle well though. If you have a regular sky, the suspension is a little soft for comfort. There is a suspension upgrade for it. You can whip it on a hard to a side street at about 40-45 and it just goes where you point it. The redline comes stock with the upgraded suspension....I'm just waiting for GM to have upgrade kits for them.
