on my way home from class in sarasota on wednesday night at about 9 pm on university parkway at the last light before you get onto I-75 (BJ's light)

so he's in the middle lane and i'm in the right hand lane, preparing to get onto the interstate. so he keeps like inching forward like he keeps thinking the light it going to change ( i can see the light.... i'm smart like that and watch it change) so the light changes and he punches it so i get on it quickly thereafter because i thought it was a cop sitting on the side of the road, but it wasn't..

so anyway, we're off and its about even at first, but then he shifts into 2nd and i pull about half of a car on him and just continue to slowly walk on him from there, by the top of my 2nd gear (60 mph) i was atleast a full car on him and he slowed down to get behind me so he could get onto the interstate.....

so the best part is when i get off at fruitville rd to go crash at my parents place (i live in largo) the guy gets off and pulls up next to me at the redlight, rolls down his window and says" hey man, awesome car, i don't feel so bad that i got beat an STI!"

yeah.... so i say, "Thanks man, but i'm not an sti.... i don't have a turbo"

at that point he rolled up his window and wouldn't even look at me as i pulled away.

If your car is stock, I'm going to say there's something fishy with this story... Good kill though.

 

my car isn't stock... and i wouldn't post a fake story to try and impress a bunch of people i'll most likely never meet.

i've got a lightweight pulley, gutted cat and muffler, and a new intake and k&n filter

what is it that has you guys all on the rag? he probably didn't think i was going to punch it, and i seriously doubt that even if he did, he probably wasn't red-lining it, and/or willing to push his car to the limits. i've got nothing to lose, he hits me, i get a new side-panel and bumper on a car that could use some body work, and if i blow my engine... more of an excuse to go get a new legacy.

so.. dude that didn't think it was worth it to blow his engine or risk a wreck hit his brakes at about 60 (I was at 60 nearly a full car ahead) and got in behind me.

anyway, thanks to those of you that don't think i'm so lame that i would post some bs. if you ever met me you'd know thats not what i'm about.... but you haven't, so.. yeah, thanks for the insult, but... uhm... yeah, no.

 

Lol, alrighty then. That sounds probable, yet somehow I think the guy just sucked. Crossfires are roadsters, but not really made to race or anything like that. Not to say they aren't fast, just not tuned for that sort of thing.

Anyway, good kill (?) and g/l with anymore of them!
