tonight i was comming home from the New Tampa meet just cruising on the highway. i wasnt looking to run anyone because my car has been having issues lately and not running its best.

so im cruising along and right when i get by my exit a yellow spec-v pulls up next to me and slows down. i figured what the hell, i'll still kill a spec-v, and go past my exit. little did i know but the spec-v had a surprise for me. we both hit it and i hear the turbo spoolin, we stay even thru most of 3rd, beginning of 4th he pulls a bumper and end of 4th i make it up. we raced again, with pretty much the same results. it was a yellow spec-v with a t3/t4, the guys were cool as hell and exchanged thumbs up.

then he yells at me to race the nissan behind us. i think is was an old 280z, but i dont know old nissans very well. we both hit it, i hear the turbo spool, and he pulled a car on me thru 3rd and 4th. i pull up next to him, give him the thumbs up, and we go from a 2nd gear roll. we hit it, it sounded like he was spinning a little, and i kept a half car lead thru the middle of 4th, then we shut down.

good runs if you guys are on here, we should go again from a dig sometime.

I was riding in the spec-v. Good runs man! I got it all on video, I'll upload it sometime tomorrow after work and post it in here.

***The 280z didn't spool on the 2nd race, then when it did it started spinning it's on bald ass tires from like 1990 lol... never the less good runs man!

LOL I was driving the z its actually a 280zx, I was a little surprised when you hung with the sentra.I am still breaking in my motor right now only on 8lbs and have a nasty exhaust leak around the manifold/head.That was definetly a good run though and yeah for some reason second didnt seem to spool then bam it lit them up and kept going a little through third.I would definitely like to go from a dig with you, still working on launching this 25 yo suspension so ill take all the practice I can get.If your going to track day I will definetly line up with you there should have some tires by then.and again man nice runs nice to meet some of the non-rice Hondas on this board.

 

LOL more action happening on the ride home than at the meet.

thanks bro, i appreciate it. your car will definately take me when you fix the leak and up the boost. i will be at track day, but i wont be running, the car has a few issues i have work out. my car vibrates like a mofo after 70mph, and i havent found the cause yet, i just got an allignment and that didnt fix it, so probably a bad rim or tire. and im throwing codes for IACV and o-2 sensor, and have irratic idle. anyway, what motor and turbo do you have in the 280?

 

i can never remember what engine it is lol, i think its like an le28 or something, but its a t3t4 turbo on 8psi.
