ok i finally got ym 240 going again after about 2 months of being down. I dumped about 500$ into it trying to figure out what was wrong. i had everybody look at my car and nobody could tell what it was. so after fucking with everything i finally found out that it was the + and - wires inside the tank going to the pump that had a bad connection. so fixed that and it just happened to be sat. night so i went out to the causway. it was one of the nights that the cops never came so i figured y not lets race. my friend was with me with an S14 240 and i was in my S13. he'd been talking smack for a while so i said lets go. we lined up at the light and for sum reason no 1 wanted to flag us off, and neither of us had a horn. so we just took off, i got a split second of a junp before he took off but not enough to worry about. i had him all the way, about 7 car lengths when we started slowing down. i felt pretty good and had my bragging rights now. so we watched a few more races and went home. we were just driving playing on 275. i turned off on I-4 to go home and he went his way. so now i'm on my own and fucking with a crx i saw. it had to be stock cuz he had no chance in hell. so finally down to the real story. as i'm fucking with the crx, this 05 mustang gt hauls ass by, so i figure something fun to fuck with.......go to catch up, as we r hitting 145+ i'm inching towards him, he had about a car on me and i kept my foot to the floor just inching on him. finally get up next to him and get my bumper about a foot past his and BOOM my car fucks and starts seeming like its running on 3 cylinders. so while i'm cussing my head off and going nuts i turn my car off put it in nutral and coast with my hazards on. go to the gas stationg to see the damage. oil coming out of the head gasket and smoke like crazy out my intake. so i'm thinking maybe i blew the head gasket i got another one at home no big deal. get it towed home and pull the head off, only to find that i melted a nasty hole in cylinder 2.....not cool but at least i had fun. to whoever was in the mustang and was too much of a dick to stop and see whats up....FUCK YOU. any respectable racer would have pulled over to have a few laughs and see if everything is good. but its alright i'll be up and running with a new motor in about a week although its already been like a month HAHA!

why dont you stop with these junkyard blocks and buddy parts and buy some legitimate shit. You get what you pay for, you should know that by now...thats why ur shit keeps going out...and i dont blame the stang guy for not stopping, your just a casualty of the race. Plain and simple. You lost your car, not his problem. he paid for his right to go that fast dependably and safely, in complete comfort. Thats why he drives a NEW car, not an older one. Spend some money on the block, pistons, crank, and rods, and then a new clutch!!! and youll have a formidable car.
Oh, and go all motor, you dont see too many built all motor 240's around...

i aint hatin shit, my car however, has been running for the last year and a half, with NO problems beside the window regulators, it has ice cold ac,
heat, power everything, and i can seat 5 people.
oh yeah, and it doesnt matter what on my car breaks, I can fix it the right way, instaed of hacking it up or ricing it out...and it doesnt matter how hard i run it, it doesnt break, sputter, or give me the slightest problem.
Dont hate cause you dont know how to do shit right the first time...
