I can't wait to see it. I want to know more about the Evo. I like that sound! So wtf kinda mods and $$ does it take to do that?
I never really got to look at it or talk to the driver courtesy of the azz busting patrol shooing us off.
Please do not confuse me with the Red 06 GTO calling himself unbeatable or whatever else. I got called out like 3 times this weekend by folks.

maybe in a FWD car. i've always seemed to pick up a few tenths at the sacrifice of a mph or so.

My car weighs 4100 pounds with me in it. Launch 400ft pounds of torque through a 6 speed manual against that 4100 pounds on 275 40s and 18 gallons of gas becomes your friend. Hell, at the track, if the hook sucks I put my toolbox back there!

The Deacon preaches da truth. I cut my best 60 foots with a full tank. Can be worth 3/10s, and I gladly give up the maybe 1mph at the big end.

I don't add weight for the 60 foot, but just like adjusting air psi, suspension settings and fuel load to right spot. And for a modern GTO 6 gear, a 3/4 tank over the back end gets it just right.
I am sure you optimize your car.
Are you in the DH event this weekend? I figure a big hookin, truly fast GVR$ would be there. We could do this on the track.

Anyway, enough of the "call out TRs faster DSMs"...
I didn't start the thread, or do the race to find more races. The young guy with the 06 GTO(Mr Unbeatable) is getting every one of us rolling in Torrid Red GTOs all kinds of callout.
I just appreciate the work that the Evo had, and want to know more about the mod process as I am into road racing too.
That and throw some props at the dudes who didn't act like Honda boys with a Playskool "My First Turbo kit" .
I do still want to see that vid.
