i am 99 m6 with lid, lt's, ory and cutout.
we are going 40-?? i put 50 that says ill be out by 100.
am i doomed?

I thought 40 was kind of dead for 6 speed ls1's...try to get him to do a 45 roll

40 is like 3000+rpms in second. I am a little worried bc i have not had a chance to do a evo 9 yet. anyone know what they trap around?

do a 40mph roll in 1st gear, i do it all the time, if you think you can shift fast enough to go into second, thats the only way I do 40 rolls and usually i get out like that ( i got the fastest stock ls1)

 

try "???" lsjuan... and I highly doubt you woulda beat a few others that I know of..

I agree you can do it in 1st but if your a rookie your gona fuck something up..

should just do a 45 roll

 

if i drop the pedal in 1st all i do is roast em all the way thru second, to about 60. Im not really sure if I'd be better off that way, it could very well be faster but I'm not sure.

Also the 9 traps about 105 from what Ive read on evolutionm.

go for a bit higher roll, most ls1's have this funky void of power zone between 38-44 or so. I dunno what the hell it is, but everyone has it around the same spot. Id say start higher and run till 120 or so. 3 and 4 are your money gears for your car. And yeah as long as u dont n00b shift you should have him. Make sure you run with about 1/2-3/4 a tank of gas too, youll have better traction if your running on street tires.
