Me vs. C5
Well my buddy has an auto c5, 3.90's, headers, hi flow cat, 3" dual exhaust from there back, as well as professional dyno tuning. I think he was like 370-380 whp/tq.
I'm in my new ride havent quite gotten the launches down yet since its been a week.
1st run we go from a 40 roll. I am ihn second his car has to downshift. 3 honks, I instantly pull out a car, take it to about 70 and let off. At this point I am pretty excited since his car feels much faster than mine and I thought I was gonna get worked.
So being the vette owner he is he wants to go from 40-160, I just got this car and havent had the time to get used to the high speed tendencies so I decide it is better to go to 120-130 ish.
3 honks and were off, pull a car instantly and hit third.
Im expecting him to come creeping past me here but somehow im the one creeping farther and farther out, by the top of 3rd im 2+ cars out but I see hes staying in it so i make the shift to 4th (1st time ive been in this gear in a race) and to my amazement I start pulling harder by 125-130 i am 3+ cars out and let off he come flyiing by and told me later he stayed on the gas until 160 ( what a nut, I like speed but I also like having a liscense).
So we get off the expressway and he is throughly impressed with my basically stock car, as am I. But as all good things do, my unbeaten streak vs him comes to an end as he requests a dig.
He launches and I spin the shit out of the launch and get out of it right away as I am almost facing his 40K car. he stays in it up to 80 or so to rub it in.
His car is very quick tho, and he showed me a timeslip later of 12.8 with 2.4 60' which he attributed to the stock runflat tires he had on there at the time.

What are you drivin? you neglected to let any of us know what your new car is.
why is 380rwhp out of the question? im not a chevy guy, so i have no idea about their engines beyond the normal stuff. But arnt those engines 400hp at the crank stock? if thats the case he should be at around 340rwhp stock. unless he isnt a 400hp stock motor.

What are you drivin? you neglected to let any of us know what your new car is.
why is 380rwhp out of the question? im not a chevy guy, so i have no idea about their engines beyond the normal stuff. But arnt those engines 400hp at the crank stock? if thats the case he should be at around 340rwhp stock. unless he isnt a 400hp stock motor.

a c5 z06 is 405hp to the crank
ive seen h/c full exhaust c5 z06 make 380rwhp.
his being a regular c5 and not having h/c is probably making more like 380 to the crank with those mods.
