Default The Civic Vs. Ford Lightening

Well, this guy at my job drives a Lightening, bone stock with an intake. We all left at the same time. As we were going down Lumsden, we were just messing around, we did not catch a light, but we did 2 roll races. The first was from like 50, the Lightening was about a car length in front, he hits it, does not wait for me to get beside him, I hit it, and we go to about 100 with me in the same exact spot as the race started in, and he had the hit. Second race, was from about 55, which is not so good for me. this time we even up, and hit it at the same time, ended at the end of 4th, which is about 120 for me, with him at my door. It was a good race. I really did not think I would come out on top, but I did. I talked to him later, and he wants to go from the dig, and that his truck would be faster from the dig. I told him okay, anytime. Hopefully soon I will be posting another story again.

nice runs, and from the sounds of this race the lightning will pull you easily on the dig. they hook up very well for being a truck.. but sounds like a stout civic. nice kill

I know they hook easy, but arnt they pretty heavy?? I would think the race would of been the other way around, Lightenings are fast on the highway I know that, but I think I will be able to come out on top from the dig, my first and 2nd gear are nice, but I do have a little traction issues. I dont know, We will definitely have to see.

The car is still for sale, The car never gets driven, Ive been driving alot lately only because its been cold out, and it has been running so good.

they are very heavy but can be made fast very easy and they will launch pretty decent... I ran a lighting at bmp one night in my z06 and I actually pulled him out of the hole barely.. then he came around me at the 1000' mark for the victory...I ran a 12.20 on that pass

I think the lightning will take you from a dig. but race him and find out. have fun and be safe.
