So here I am leaving WhatABurger after attending a local meet, and I get a call to come meet some friends in Ybor... I decide why not, and head out there... Once I get there I am dragged into a discussion about cars, being able to hang with bikes... Well, this debate just happened to be with a group of biker friends, that doubted I could hang with them, and my boy Mike was determined to get me to race them just to see how well I could hang...

Well we eventually agree to go to a local closed course track to give it a go from a 40 roll, but only 2 of the bikes tagged along... My boy Alex on his 02 GSXR750 (dropped, extended, drag tire, full exhaust, filter, TRE, this that and the other) and my boy Brent on his 03 Honda 954RR ( only filter, and exhaust to my knowledge)... Once we reach the course, we agree on a 40 roll... The 750 gives me the hit, and were off... Spun second pretty hard, spun a little into third which left him about 2 cars out, and then in 4th I closed it down to about 1.5 cars to 125 where I let off... (The 954 sat this one out)

We get off the course, and debate a bit, then decide to go again, with the 954 joining this time... Second run (again from 40) he gives me the hit again, and he jumps out about a car due to me spinning... It stays this way thru third gear, then in 4th I start gaining again... He had about 3/4 of a car on me when I let out at 125, and the 954 was at my door (He started off about a car length behind)... Both runs he started in second gear, which I believe if he was in first he would be a little better into his powerband, and probably pull a bit more...

All in all they were some very exciting races, and I must say I did better than I thought I would... At least now I can say the debate is over, and we have plenty of witnesses to settle any further arguments
