Get caught at a red light next to a Lightning last night. 1st light, I take off he doesn't. 2nd light he shows no signs of racing but as the light changes green, he takes off. I bog the launch pretty pathetically as I wasn't ready, but catch up in 2nd gear. Slowly pulling on him through 3rd and 4th, I'm about 1 and 1/2 cars ahead and pulling in 4th as I catch up to the car in my lane so I hit the brakes. Great run but didn't get to talk with the driver of the Lightning because he turned shortly after the race.

does your car have the same motor as the sti? you must be modded to run down a lighting. good kill

yes and a slightly smaller turbo then the STi. Lightnings are heavy as hell!

the are heavy but, the lightning is faster in stock form. i was just curious

What makes you say that I believe stock Lightnings run 13.9 out the box with a great driver. the STi is good for a 13.2 and the legacy GT for 13.5-13.8

i did search and the only info i could find said 14.2 in the 1/4 for the sub. i thought the lightning was a little quick and it had a head start. not trying to start shit, just learn a little, the magazines do lie sometimes.

Thanks guys! mofobucs, nothing against anyone, I just don't know of any professional drag race that starts from a roll. My .02

stockcobra, I am modified. No turbo upgrade or anything, just some exhaust parts and tuning. Also the LGT does have the same STi 2.5 with very minimal differences. Actually, I'm pretty sure there's only one very minor difference.
