well I got to run a lightning...


I was leaving AMC20 heading out to tampa and I came across a Lightning...

I dropped a gear to see if he'd follow pursuit.. he did..


after a little while we finally get some road ahead of us and I drop it to 3rd... he takes off I follow pursuit.. we stay dead even for a few seconds and he just starts to pull away at the top of my 3rd.. I bang to 4th catch him for a second and let off.. close race...


we then found a red light but by the time I got to it it turned green so we started off at a 10mph roll I dropped to 1st slammed it .. spun he immediately got traction and jumped a car.. slammed 2nd spun .. caught half way though 2nd and by that time he was a car and a half ahead of me... so I shifted to 3rd we stayed even and then just let off...



which leads me to my next question again... lol what do these things run typically with minor bolt ons?

Prick in the LS1... no we didnt race and no it was not a "good run"

I jumped this asshole from a 2nd gear run then let off and he continued to go... I got a good run from him and a slow5.0 from his girlfriend


then I dont know the name.. some hatch german car.. turbo'd up.. I see the guy around town alot.. I was at the gas station filling up he was infront of me and after he finished fillin up he waited for me to finish and slowly exited behind me.. we talked for a bit and decided to run it down belcher..


I followed him out to belcher we stopped.. at about a 5mph he took off I followed suit..

I was tractionless (surprise) slammed 2nd (tractionless) caught in 3rd started to reel him in .. slammed 4th and put about 2 ft on him.. close race


we did it again up at the light from a dig..

same result I reeled him in barely at the middle of my 4th gear..



moral of the night.. I coulda been victorious against the turbo hatch german thing and the lightning from a dig if I had traction but I didnt...


none the less good night cant wait to be out next saturday


mods for the hatch...


Downpipe, full exhaust, CAI, lightened flywheel, and a few other mods... dont know the name (running more then stock boost)

yes the German Hatch was silver..

 

thats my boy. he has a 1.8t w/ vr6 clutch&flywheel, 3"DP, muffler welded onto stock pipe(done by me), n75 valve(12psi), swiss cheezed airbox. he runs mid-high 14's. he told me you never caught up and he let off then you caught up.

 

my car and the lighting have the same s/c....wanna run?

 

I'll be glad to run him again... the first race I gave him a car hit and I caught him..


the 2nd race I spun the whole way through and then got to his door and let off because of the church parking lot + cops


btw I did this all with my 220lb friend in the car and he had nobody in his.



you think if I can out run a lightning from a 40 roll i'd have problems with that jetta thing?


I got better tires and I wouldnt mind runnin him again.. it was a good race..



your really starting to piss me off.. since Ive signed on today all youve tryed to do was fucking discredit me...


if he claims he out ran me tell him to put his money where his mouth is..


I'd be glad to do another run for 100 cash just to shut you and him both up.
