on the way to home depot today i saw a black RX running neck and neck with a 05 GT they were approaching speeds of 80-90 when the rx had to bail becuase of an upcoming ubstruction...damn full size vans always getting the way of a good race ...anyway not sure whats available for those Rx's but it's clear it was as fast as this GT or pretty damn close

i woud have to know more about the race, maybe the rx got a jump? i know the GTs arent race cars but the rx8s arent fast cars.

 

I have seen a stock 05 GT at the track run consistant 14-3-14.5's. I'm not sure weither it was automatic or manual. I still haven't raced a GT, the street seems tobe flooded with the 6'ers.

 

seems like no matter how much horsepower they put in mustang gt's they'll always be slower than LT1's stock for stock

 

That how they do it nowadays. Add more power and add more weight. Seems like all the GT threw the years come out the factory runing about the 14.5 area...give or take.

 

the 05 Gt is a mid 13 sec car
