A few kills and some I wanted to run...
First off, I should state that these kills were not in my car, but my "loaner" car for the day, an 03 Cobra with nothing more than a Borla Stinger cat back.
The first happened when I was coming back from a job interview (shirt, tie and all...ugh). The opponant was an older gentleman in a brand new SLK 55 AMG (or whatever the smallest little Benz vert is). We both have the top down and are enjoying the day and as I am burbling along beside him, he says "hey kid, nice car. Does it run?" Being my smartassed self, I reply, "I think so, it seems to be moving along under it's own power right now." As luck would have it, we get up to a light together. Again, he strikes up a conversation: "Well, I'd like to see how well it runs." I nod and wait for the light to change. Light goes green and I let him jump a bit on me which is no big deal since the car doesn't hook up in first gear anyway even with 305's at the rear. He doesn't get far on his holeshot and I quickly reel him in and make him my rearview bitch. The next opportunity he has to converse with me, he sits in silence. Kid...ha!
The next grouping was on the CCC. The only one of the group of 3 I got a chance to toy with was a latest gen Eclipse in blue/greenish (like BMW Imola green) who shrank faster than an all cotton t-shirt in warm water in my rearview. The ones I really wanted to run were both dressed in black: 3rd gen Firebird with true dual flowmasters hanging down and a 2nd gen MR2 with some hoodpins.
Fun times, thought I would share.

the "smallest" benz vert is an slk32/slk320.. Are you sure it was AMG at all? A slk55 probably would of kept the lead he got on you in a stock cobra.. Or at least would of been very hard to overtake.
Anyway, good kills.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

What is the hp difference between the SLK 55 AMG and CLK 55 AMG? I would have thought the two had the same engine due to mere badging, but who knows these days with merc.
i dont believe the SLK55 AMG is sold over here? i could be mistaken though. i know the CLK55 is, and the SL55 aswell.
