Just so you know, (if you're thinking about getting an intercooler) I recently bought a large OBX intercooler off a guy on ebay for $250, brackets for the intercooler to work with my car for $65, and a Do It Yourself 2.5" piping kit that came with the piping, blue hose connectors, and clamps from a guy on ebay for $205 shipped. I needed 4 blue reducers which totaled about $65. All of that was just under $600 but I did have to buy a sawzall ($50) to cut out some of my bumper reinforcement and went to advanced auto parts to buy an exhaust cutting tool for $20 I think. Other than that, it wasn't too bad and took an afternoon to do. I don't know if the LT1's have a similar front end setup but if they do then I would be all over it.
