Default Me vs. Grand National on Little Rd.

On my way into work today I pulled up behind a GN at a light. While sitting behind him I hear him put it in neutral and rev it, I revved back to let him know I was listening.

As the light turns he waits til he's going about 10 and nails it. I was about 3 cars back and waited til I heard him spool up. I hit it then and pulled up to his bumper and let out. We then lined up and went from a roll. I'd say I put about 8-10 cars on him both times we did it.

Nice kid though, he asked me what I had done and what I trapped and told me I had a nice car. He said he just got it and it was pretty much stock. Anyway, been awhile since I posted a kill.

Great kill. Always nice to school the kids. Gives them something to shoot for.

He told me he got the car 3 days ago Corey. It had some pillar gauges and I think it was a T-Top car. I'm pretty sure it was one of the earlier GN's becuase it had some chrome trim, which I thought they got rid of in the latter years. Anyway, yeah it was about 8-10, especially when we went from a slower roll with me starting at 4k in 2nd gear.

Good kill man, I was the one driving the Buick. Your car definitely runs pretty strong. I just got the GN last week and we're still trying to figure out some problems i'm having with it.

The 2nd run by the time i floored it and the transmission shifted into 2nd you were already like 3 cars ahead so i just stopped....

My first death in the GN ...

4k is just when we start pulling. I can't wait for my beatdown from the almighty mach, I'm not up in new port richey very often though, never have been in my stang.

It's an 87, hardtop. No chrome trim, all black just the rims.

Ah, I thought I saw some, guess I'm getting old eh?

Thanks for the props though, my car runs pretty strong for a little 4.6. I didn't realize you let out of it, I usually let out once I get ahead by a good distance, but I know turbo cars will pull harder once they get moving. Good luck with the car, hopefully you figure out what is going on with it. I've always been a sucker for GN's.

Oh, and on the 2nd run I thought I gave you the hit like I did on the first roll. I usually just give people the move so I don't have to wonder if I jumped early. Ah well, we'll have to give it another whirl when you get the car running up to snuff.

Thanks, mine's only a 3.8

The first run i was actually in the right gear, you were about a carlenght back when i went full throttle and i think 40-85 you got a good 3 car lenghts on me before i let out. The 2nd run wasn't even close. I nailed it, and by the time the transmission shifted to 2nd you already put buslenghts on me ...

We'll definitely have to run again. I work just down the street from where we ran. I usually take the car to work once a week when i dont have too much to do and want to do some tuning runs. I already know what's wrong with the current setup just didnt' want to give excuses for losing...
