Default LS1 v. 5.0

Well, in a good mood I'm slowly driving home from a friend's house at halftime of the cowboy's game. As I'm about to make my right hand turn I spot a newer body stang going by, but upon closer inspection, nothing but a v6. Well, shortly there after waiting for the light traffic to clear and let me out I see 98+ Camaro headlights coming toward me with a billet grill up front and dark blue in color with some aftermarket wheels of unknown brand, as it drives by I see the Z28 badge and dual exhaust, and it's on! I slowly catch up to him as he's driving like 60mph in a 45, but once I got next to him and droped it into 3rd and jumped it a couple times he ignores me. But, considering my last war story, the ls1 drivers just don't respect the 5.0s anymore I guess.

Well, as we're approaching the next light it turns red, so I slow down while downshifting to keep it in the powerband expecting the light to change shortly, well I come to a complete stop, light turns green and then...!!! Nothing, he drives like an old lady off the line.

Well, I'm not about to let this trick me and not be ready for him when he decides to floor it so I ride 2nd gear to 50-55mph when he finally gets up next to me, I'm sitting at about 5,000rpms, in the meat of the little bit of power I do have, I jump it a couple times, and FINALLY, he takes the jump, gets nowhere with the jump as I'm ready to gun it instantly and I just start a walkin, by 105 or so I had 3 cars on him, give or take. It was rather brutal and I expected it to be a close run.

So how many LS1 drivers are going to puff up their chests' and show me some taillights?

this reminds me of the vette/cobalt commercials....the LS1 is nudging the LT1...the LT1 as big brother gets pissed and flaunts its raw torque and the LS1 is subdoed.
