Brett,

You should go to the track soon on a cool night and turn the boost up and see how deep into the 12's you can get. I didn't realize you ran 15psi at the track.

Yeah, we actually ran into her at durango or something and liked Chris’s n/a FC and we got to talking. I also saw her out at one of the night locations awhile back. I also remember the night carlos where you two took off at the light. You seemed to take a few busses?
yeah it was fun , through first gear she was next to me, after that after my turbo spooled it was over, by the time i crossed the light half way over the bridge i could barely see her in my rear view

nice car though, minus the wing

I would love to take a crack at it with a sub 60 degree temp. Hopefully soon I will catch some cool weather like that.

yea, that was me with her, i ran into another guy on the board here, thought it was you. i drove the car twice, best i could muster was a 9.3 @ 79 @ 13psi....i keep telling her the tire/rim setup is horrible and she can do all the mods in the world and not get any faster... 2.3 60' owns her there are a few maintenence things that need to be done aswell, such as a shifter (put my fist into the center console thinking the knob was still attached to go to 3rd ), motor mounts because the damn shifter moves 2-3 inches in some direction when on/off the gas, and a few other little things.

Kenny, Were you the guy that was at the track last wednesday night with her?
Yeah, I've seen your car run. Most 240's on the stock turbo run in the 13's, but most 240's don't run welds and mickey thompson drag radials. Most of them can't cut better than about a 1.9 sixty on the inevitable low-profile tire on the large diameter rim (goes along with the handling mods) and I've seen a lot more 2.1-2.2. I've also seen a stock turbo 240 run a 12.9 at 108 on street tires, so it's more than possible, just not common from what I've seen at the track.

My only point is that you do not need big hp with these cars to get them to ride out. Heck I'm sure that my dyno numbers are much less than alot of cars on here. As far as running big wheels and low profile tires to drag race with is just plain stupid if your planning on being competitive. However most 240's are used for drifting and are not set up at all to run the 1/4 mi.

I agree with you. RWD is the best layout for hooking at the track if you run the right tires and right suspension setup. Most 240 people seem to be reluctant to add a pair of strip-only rims to their wheel collections, drag isn't important enough to them I guess. If I was driving a 240, I'd have a set of drag radials for running at the track.

You will get there. Once you get some tuning, Tires, and get used to the car I sure you will be very impressed with what that car can do.

a nice set of spare trims should be like some weld prostars in a 15x3.5 for the front and then a 15x8 for the rear with the new MT ET Street Radial. thats what i want her to get anyways. or some bogarts.
