C5 vs. GSXR 1000
Location = Tampa
Distance = 1/4 mile
Course = Straight Line
Mr. Gixxer 1000 was continuously taunting the innocent lo-tec C5 by making jestures with his head and revving his mean street machine. Not looking for any trouble, the driver of the slow C5 (not even a Z06
) took it easy, as he was finishing up a quiet evening with his wife. But for some reason, his predator instincs took over, as he downshifted to gain speed. Within moments, as the adrenalin built up within his body, the sounds of the cries from his worried wife drifted into the background. All he heard was his LS1 turing in perfect harmony! He turned calmly, as a skilled pilot would to his co-pilot, and said, "Shhhh....just hold on, and enjoy the ride!"
Then, with a swift changing of lanes, the C5 got in front. This would be wise if you allowed physics to take its course in this battle, since the faster vehicle would have nothing but endless space before him. By now, the gixxer was glued on the bumper of the C5. The pilot gently put her in the right gear, which was 3rd. He checked his speed, 75 mph, and proceeded to accelerate with afterburners engaged! The force that followed was incredible. It seemed that all the moving parts in the vehicle held tighter together as the speed increased. The pilot was pinned to his seat, and the co-pilot wasn't going anywhere either with her knuckles turning a pale white hanging on to hers. 4th gear came in an instant, which the skilled C5 pilot shifted with absolute precision. He checked his radar, and it was obvious that the gixxer was losing ground, FAST, about a cars distance per second. Another speed check indicated that it was unsafe to continue accelerating. Shut down speed, 139 mph! Total distance won, 5 cars.
Mr. Gixxer pulled alongside the C5, and thumbs up all the way! Both pilots acknowleged the fun battle, and exited the arena. The end.
Hope you enjoyed my story.

Good kill to this pilot
Dan, I will go out on a limb and assume it's done or obviously running?
