Escalde vs. Mazda 6...who would have thunk
So my girlfriends parents just went out and bought themselves a brand new 05' Escalade..so new they dont even have "dubs" on it yet. Apparently the Escalades now come standard with a 6.0 V8, much like the one in the Silverado SS trucks. Only downside is the enormous size of the beast. Anyways...last night me and the g/f decided to take a road trip down to Sarasota to break her in (the truck not my g/f) and grab a bite to eat. On the way back, she had mentioned being tired so I was a gentleman and said, Hey, why not let me drive it home. 
The ride was actually smooth and responsive but I was respectful and didnt get on it to test the waters. But then fate interveined. I pulled up to a light in the far right lane of a three lane road. I looked ahead and realized..sh*t, I have to merge over, so of course I eyed what was next to me. A brand new Mazda 6 with 3 backwards hat wearing thug wanna be's...and guess who was already glaring over at me. Almost as if to say, your not getting in. Well the hell with that, I gathered up my Chevy pride and gripped the steering wheel. Although, in the back of my head I was saying, who am I kidding, this thing weighs like 3 times more than that little car, hes gonna rape me. Sure enough he revs it up as the opposite light turns yellow. I hold the breaks and hit the gas just a tad to try and launch....then boom, the light turns green, he pulls a bumper length ahead and Im thinking the worst...but heres where the suprising part comes....the Escalade roared to life as the 6.0 liter gobbled up the pavement and proceeded to pull a car length before merging in front of the Mazda. I shut it down with a grin on my face as the Mazda switched lanes and flew by. Great times...Moral of the Story...although not fast, the Escalade is my new buddy.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. So basicly, you couldn't have been the intelligent one, and waited until it was clear for you to go. You had to cut off the poor little children and probably scare them to death so much they had to switch lanes to get around you.

i wouldnt have expected anything less from the escalade. after all they are for the high class rednecks and stay true to their roots. good kill and next time give them the war cry, SHITFIRE!
