Well it was a cool saturday night and I was cruising around looking for trouble...

As I was driving along getting frustrated as I had been driving for 15 minutes staring tediously for anything that would give me a run. After about 20 minutes I saw an accord with nice wheels and lowered a little, looked good... didn't want anything to do with me. As I was driving home from my little journey I spot a white BMW in front of me. I say to myself, "wouldn't that be nice if that was an m3?" Well as I'm fighting the glare from his brakes on my window to check for badging there it is, m3.

I think he heard my cam loping at idle as I was sitting behind him waiting for the light to change because as I was following him waiting for an opening he just guns it and passes a few cars. I cautiously follow suit as I don't want to lose him, or drive like an ass.

So he makes a right and I follow, as he's pulling out he floors it in first gear, I gingerly shift into second and hit it with him having about a 15 car head start and probably 30 mph. So I roll into it in second trying not to lose traction and as I'm rowing through the gears I'm noticing I'm am gaining on him substantially once I start going through 4th gear. As I'm about to pass him with about a 25mph closing speed he lets out of it.

He rolls up next to me an asks, "How much horsepower does it have?" I reply with, "huh?" As I didn't realize what he said until afterward. He then asked, "Is it fast?" He already knew it had a whole lot more to offer in our little straight line contest so I replied, "A little bit."

I then proceed to drop it down into second at about 40mph he follows suit and takes the hit and I jump it. The tires start fighting for traction as I bounce the limiter for a split second while I've gone from directly next to him to my rear bumper few feet from his front bumper through 2nd and in 3rd it got even worse so I let out of it. He says, "That thing is cool as hell man!" I replied with a thank you and a head nod and I was satisfied with my adventure.

 

goddamn right , finally have a 5.0 out there with some good war stories

We know who's faster from a roll(ME) so lets find out whos faster from a dig,so when you get your tranny and i get some sticky stuff in the back its on.

 

Well we know who's a better driver .. and by the time I get the tranny I'm gonna be sportin a bottle, too .. you ain't gotta chance!

Thanks all, since that run I developed an exhaust leak and my transmission is making all kinds of new noises.
