On my way to CC Speedway, I run into a hot looking yellow Ferrari. I decide to get my ass beat, and go to play with him. I speed up to get beside him, and give him a little speed test to show him I'm up for a run. Well I put it in third, and blip the trottle... nothing... So I decide to show him I'm not THAT slow, and let the car ride up to 80mph real quick, slow down, and wait for him to catch up. Now knowing I'd get my ass beat, I leave it in third, around 50mph, I pace him... I'm lookin over at him, waiting for him to acknowledge my existance... pop the BOV a good time, and he looks over. I smile and he looks forward, and motions for us to go. He immediatly slams the throttle down, and so do I, he got the jump being all motor, about a half car, my boost kicks in and he's not going anywhere. We hold the same positions until 100mph, when we let off for traffic ahead.

While at CCS I see a friend of mine, with an AWD TSI and a happy FP Green turbo, on 15psi. Happy with his newly, well running car, I offer to give him a go, to see how well I hold up to a turbo that has put many people into the 10's on the 4g63's.

We go from a high 2nd gear roll, 3 honks, and we're off. To my surprise, I put an immediate car on him, and into third, it just gets even worse. I can see him in my rear view mirror by now, and he's only getting further back. 110mph, I let out, and he flys past me. We decide to go again, 3rd gear roll. Same results. We drive around for a minuite, and everyone's leaving CCS. So we flip a bitch, and decide to head to GIS. Over the bayside, he decides he wants to go again, so out of a kind guesture for the young man, I leave it in fouth, and 3 honks later... we're dead even. Mid fourth gear, I slowly start to pull away, around 140ish I was about 1 good car ahead of him.
Granted his car was untuned, 15psi is a decent amount for that turbo.

Later on, after we get to GIS, a Black S13 SR wants to run the Talon I just raced. The Talon declined, so I told the guy I'd drop the boost to 13, and run him.

He decides to go for it, and we're off across the tarmac. I give him a 2 car jump, and the hit. I chase after him, and just before his speed cut, I catch him and we're side by side. He let's out.

He tweaks a few settings somewhere in his car, and we run again, he doesn't like the honk idea... he just goes... so I go in for persuit again, however this time, I don't seem to be making ground. Interesting. He keeps a car lead on me the whole time. We turn around and go back tward the meeting spot, and go at it once more. This time, he takes the jump, again... (someone needs to teach these kids how to signal a race) and he puts about two and a half cars on me, and slowly pulls away.

So I lost a race last night, but all in all, it was a good night.
I had problems with detonation around 5500, no matter how rich I made the mixture... it was strange. The head was tapping after the SR race, as such, the car was slower.

I did well against the Ferrari. I was very happy.

 

I will enjoy my loss to that turbo.
I hope I have the money for my clutch friday. It wont be pretty.
