The Showdown, Mach 1 vs. Lightning
Well, I went out lastnight and met up with Kevin and a bunch of his friends. I talked to a few of his friends and him and then we went off to a undisclosed location and ran. We made 3 runs all from a stop. Let me tell you, I was very impressed with Kevins Lightning, it's a very stout truck.
First run: We had a flagger start. I got a decent launch and Kevin was spinning a bit, I was probably out 1-2 cars until I could not get the car in 3rd gear. By the time I did Kevin had gone by me and won by about 2-3 cars up top.
L - 1
Mach 1 - 0
Second run: Same start, this time Kevin didn't spin as hard. It was dead even until about 80-90 and Kevin went by me about a 1/2 a car and stayed there until the end.
L - 2
Mach 1 - 0
Third run: Same start again this time I got a great launch. I got out about 1-2 cars and held it until the end.
If I didn't miss 3rd on the 1st run I think I would have won that one as well, but on well, shit happens and I'll stand up to it.
Kevin has a very stout truck and is a nice guy. I'm more then impressed with how well it ran. Our cars are very evenly matched and it was all down to who got the better launch. I'll have to look him up again when I get some Sticky tires.

I was on regular radials, but 275's, not 245's.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it.
