Okay, I know I don't post often here, but now that I got my car running (for the most part) how I want, I plan on posting more.

Anyways, onto the story...



I am driving in my Z (90' 300zx TT) on Hillsborough ave on ym way back from the Round Up (Ybor gets borin' sometimes) and I am with my friend Adam (Red GSX) and I leave him just driving a good 60mph towards sheldon.

He is way behind me and when we finally get to Sheldon and Hills. I see his lights pull up next to me, so I get in front and I hear a BOV that didn't sound like his.. The eclipse then pulls around me (I had cut her off thinkin' it was my friend) and revs.. it was a clean black Gst or Gsx (didn't get a chance to find out)...

Anyways, the girl driving was holy god beautiful.. And she was driving a sports car kinda threw me off too. So light turns green and we punch it and my Z instantly starts to walk her, we go up to 70 and slow down for another light. We exchange some words and she asks me if im stock or upgraded turbos, I reply upgraded turbos and then she asks if I am ever at Gandy (I am not, but will be soon) and I say no, then we look ahead and there is nothing but clear street.. We both get a good launch and we are pretty even, after 40mph~ I start to walk her again and by 70ish im a car ahead.. We hit 100 and I am 2-3 cars ahead when my friend is like "Cop!!" I instantly hit the brakes and slow down while flashing my high beams as she passes me in an attempt to warn her.. I hit a left into an Eckerds and pull around the back and she continues forward...

I come out a few minutes later and head the same way we were running and sadly, I see the ol' red and blue lights flashin'... They got her I kinda feel bad too...



Anyways, I just recently got my Z back from the shop (I had blown turbos for over a year and a half...Sucks being poor and jobless for 6 months) and had upgraded turbos installed.... For the most part, I am still stock...Just have intake, exhaust, and the turbos (running only 2 lbs more then stock...for now).. So my car is basically a normal Z at this point in time. I need a better clutch as mine is starting to slip and a chip/BC to unlock some extra hp.

Anyone know who this girl is? She said it was her friends car and hes always at Gandy...

btw: I know racing on a road like Hills is stupid, and just asking for a ticket... But oh well. I know it was stupid.

 

upgraded turbos+2 more lbs of boost=nothing near a stock z...more air flow going through...good kills though what kind of turbos are they?

 

Ehhh.. They are not insanely bigger turbos.

They are comparable to JWT Sport 500's, but flow a tad more.

Hah... Mine has just been hiding because I was too embarassed to go out to the races with the turbos blown. You have NO idea how slow it makes a Z..

And sure, I am up for a good run. Where are you at 91TT? What do you have done?

It will have to wait until I get my clutch though, everytime I race on this stock I just bring down the life a lil more.. And I hope to get another month out of it.

 

Yeah, you 300z guys are like the wind... never seem them anywhere. I got a Gs-t and have beaten a few 300's (TT) in the past. I thought they were faster than that. The stock ones are fast but they dont get going for a lil while. That car has been my favorite for a long time, only I never bought one.

 

Yea most 300zx's are not modded. You mainly see stock ones (Or stage 3.. thats not much). Its pretty rare to see a highly modded one.

The 300zx scene tends to be an older crown actually, with not many young fellas my age (20) owning one. At least not in the Tampa area...
