was heading home when an older style GT comes up next to me and revs...thing was pretty damn loud, definetly not stock...

he got in front of me and I decided to pass my turn home and follow him, from the rear could tell he had exhaust, as he downshifted could tell he had far more than exhaust, thing was rather loud including at idle

end up turning onto a road and he's about 4 cars ahead of me and decides to floor it (I could hear he was flooring it becuase it sounded like a jet was taking off), I left it in 3rd when I should've been in 2nd and by the time we were at 100 I had passed him and he was about 3-4 cars back

gave him the thumbs up and he waved

wasn't much, I know the mustang style before the current one didn't pack much heat as far as the GT's go stock...didn't find out what he had but nontheless I won

by the way, the liscense plate read "Why Tri"...hence the title

 

i've seen the same exact car on mcmullen booth and had no luck getting him to run..

Damn, so you put 7-8 cars on this not stock gt from 45-100? Either that thing was slow your your pretty darn quick

 

that's why I was dumbfounded afterwards is how many car lengths I was able to catch up and put on him

 

all depends on the year stang and what he had done.... a 96-98 GT with an exhaust would be lunchmeat to Term......

Either way sounds like you had fun!

 

Definately, 96-98s wern't all that quick unless they had f/i or pi heads/cams/intake.

But, how could it be that damn loud? I guess it could have had dumps with some glasspacks or something.
