I thought we went over this last time 97blk. IT IS A TRIM. A camaro was never known as the "Z car".. geez.

WRONG

Z28 is an RPO code not a trim level. The RPO Z28 designates the Camaro platform as having the high performance engine/transmission/suspension options installed. While you are correct that the Z28 was never referred to as the "Z Car" it has been referred to as a "Z" since its debute in 1968.

Actually, it went 240Z, 260Z, 280Z then the Z28.

I think they are talking about the first Z28 was before the first Datsun. Which really doesn't mean much.

The fairlady Z was introduced by datsun in the 1950's.

Hope this helps seeing as there was no 1957 chevy Z
