maybe fast v8's don't count to the idiot kids out there, but i thought the best races of the night were between the mustangs and the camaros. and there were way too many slow cars out there, including mine.

Must've caught him on a bad run, he was running 12.5's on the motor that night. It wasn't all rice. I had a lightning with me that ran 13.7, another camaro that ran 13.2, and there was another lightning there as well. Was the stang that ran 12.7 a yellow 5.0? If so him and his boys were tryin' to get me to run them for 100 bucks, I laughed cause I'm stock. They claimed 500 HP and 10's on slicks . So we ran and they pulled me about as hard as an lt1 on a 150 shot...then broke at mid track and got beat by my low 14 sec pass .

I think I know which you all were talking about. The one I remember was a yellow fox that was extremely clean and pretty quick. 200 shot was what I remember hearing.

yea, but who knows, that extra 30 seconds to exchange cash would have changed his mindset, he mighta done something differently and not have broken at all.

Mustangs running 11's are a dime a dozen today, as we all know. I ran an 11.33 @124 over 7 years ago in my 94 GT just to give you an example.

We all know that 4 bangers are drawing the most attention from the young crowds nowadays. So a 13.0 from a 4 cylinder is equal to a 10.0 for a Mustang to most of them.
