I was heading home from work tonight and ran up on a Honda S2000. As soon as I got next to him, the light in front of us turns yellow. We both stopped and I figured it was go time, because we could have made the light. No reving, no motions, I just turned the traction control off, watched the light and watched how he reacted to the green light. The light turned green and he bolted with a 4 banger roar, but not the one I expected. The S2k sounded much beefier than factory Honda. I hit second and pushed the M sideways a little but the traction loss wasn't terrible. As he hit second, I heard an unexpected sound, as his wastegate purged the excess boost. We both stayed in it until right around 100mph, with the M Coupe keeping the nose just ahead of the rival S2000. As we ran into upcoming traffic, we both go off the gas. No Ricer blow by, just mutual respect and a thumb up in both directions!
