Went to trackday last night with my wife (HerHotRod), we went out and ran, the first time motor to motor, I broke the tree off in her ass, then she flew by me around the 1/8 and ended up a few cars in front. I figured if she's using all her performance parts, I should too Next pass, bottle was hooked up, and so was the car, I actually pulled the left front wheel and had a 1.63 60' in the big heavy buick! After the run (12.56) I pulled over and had a snack while I waited for her It seemed like fun at the time, but I guess I kinda opened pandora's box on that one, because now she's got her new motor picked out to come back and beat me. Hopefully I will get my fuel problems figured out soon, and at least get lower in the 12's, but I am still having a blast with the car the way it is.

 

My buddy saw your car and thought it was funny as hell when you pulled the front wheel. Congrats on the time though, that's flying especially for that big ole car.

 

O.K. - Heres what really happened

Buick - Honey do you want to go run?
me - Sure.

So we pull out to stage and he does his burnout (which he thinks will intimidate me and get me flustered ), then I proceede w/ my burnout (all calm and collected) and we head towards the tree.
We stage and I figured I'd let him tree me so he thinks he's got this one in the bag and that I'm just scared. . So yes, he trees me - we're side by side and then I just pulled away. (so bad that before we even got our time slips, he pulls up next to me on the return lane and tells me my time)
Since I left him behind so bad I figured I be a nice wife and make a lunch for him because I know our next run he would spray me and he may need it as he waits for me to catch up. And of course thats what happened.
We all know people can't see you get killed by your wife.

 

As you can imagine, there is alot of shit talking around the Dixon household Our friends get a big kick out of it.

 

saw you two come into QS&L right as me and some friends were leaving...didnt recognize the cars till ya had gone in. Loved watching the LT1 put some ass kicking down
