But to go much more than that will take a comprehensive redisign and upgrade of everything from the tranny to the suspension to the fuel system to wheel/tire combo and ultimately the bottom end of your engine.

Do not expect to slap that turbo on and go to the track with 17 inch rims and no suspension or tires and crack off a 10.4. You will be setting yourself up for a big dissapointement. Your gains in ET up till now have come easy. This is about the point where it gets hard. 11.0 and lower
those times where on slicks of course.... and its actually a pair of turbos, the fact that you are telling me that i am only going to gain 100rwhp from new heads and a pair of t-44's make me kinda wonder what your thinking. I know you know your stuff Al so please explain to me how i can not get over 100rwhp out of new heads and a pair of turbos???

also please remembner that they tested the lower upgrade for this kit which included a pair of t3-t4 hybirds and the average hp gain on a stock f-body was 228 rwhp.

I dont know shit about your car and i have enough sense to listen to Al(hybridss). You must think the advice he is giving you is from experience. The smartest thing you could do is listen to him. He has nothing to gain. Just trying to help you

Oh...dont worry too much. Im just getting you ready for reality. From here on out it gets more and more difficult to make those leaps and bounds in dropping the ETs.

The things that will limit you (temporarliy) to 550 hp or less will be things like...stock fuel lines or fuel system
stock tranny
stock bottom end
stock computer will be a bear to tune...but Jeremy will hopefully see to that part...but it may require patience on your part as well as some self restraint until its tuned right.
93 octane...race gas will be a must at somewhere around 500-550 rwhp.

Its not any one thing..or anything you cant overcome for sure....just that at 500-550 rwhp there are several bariers that tend to stack up on a near stock setup LS1.

IOnce you get the power...then its on to suspension and hooking it to the track. Im going through that now...and let me say...its another world unto itself. You will also have the disadvantage of having two turbos and intercoller right over the nose right where you dont want extra weight. So thats a consideration as well.

So I am definately not saying you CANT...you most certainly can meet you goals. It just may require a little more than you are initally thinking.

Your awesome gains in power and ET have come easy up to now with greg and Jeremys help. Where you are venturing now will seperate the men from the boys. My advice...read read read. Ls1tech, LS1.com and any other reference on boosted LS1s and what they are doing to overcome these obstacles.

The LS1 boards are full of underperforming turbo LS1s that cant get through these issues. For every one you see running 10s with a turbo there are 15 others that cant square away thier combo.

we have alrdy settled a few of the issues

we got a new fuel system and fuel lines.
A FLP tranny.
Jeremy is going to handle the tuneing
and we will be replaceing the bottum end with the new engine and a rearend in the coming months.

i do plan on running it on race gas at the track along with my slicks to help the car hook up and if we need any other suspention upgrades we will handle it from there on.

Also Al what engine would you suggest? im curious

Sounds like you have things covered pretty well then. Looks like the biggest obstacle will just be the bottom end for now and working through the tuning.

Once you get the HP then its on to suspension and rear end (forgot that one).

As far as engine..there are several choices....My favorite would be Alan Futral at Futral Motorsports. Hes not overly expensive and builds a great product.

Ask Jeremy about Dannys (01Bird of Prey) and who did his motor. I know it was local. His has held up impressively to a real beating.

Once all that is done....you will make as much power as the turbos will let you with the stock computer. And once that is reached a stand alone system will be in order. Like the FAST or Accel Gen 7 DFI. Then...the skys the limit.

Hi I know you don't know me but I've been following your car for a while. I know how upsetting dealing with having to wait on parts is. I had to wait 3 1/2 months for an exhaust manifold one time I was not happy needless to say but hang in there.

I would like to wish you good luck in your venture. I for one would like to see you accomplish your goals. Would be nice to see an LS1 turbo car. Take care.
