and that they have a V12. And that they have a warranty. And that any of us would rather have one than our honda. And that girls would rather ride in them too. And that if we could afford it, we wouldn't be thinking so highly of a honda. And that it's a luxury car. And that it's a Mercedes.

I think the E55 is like $70k. To me that's not a bad deal. Low 12's in a 3700 lb Sedan with all the creature comforts and it's quiet as hell. Give me two!

Yes, the e55 is the exception

But just close your eyes and picture 70,000 dollars. You should get a car like that.

Heh, I believe they're in the 6-figure range.

Sorry, wasn't the first link I had and I couldn't find it, but here it is now.

http://www.carsdirect.com/research/m..._amg/2004/base

469 HP and it's $77k. Not that 7k isn't a lot of money, but it's hardly a limiting factor when you can afford a $70k car. It's still a damn good bang for the buck considering it's in the same price range as a Viper but has room for 3 more.

PS. Just couldn't see spending that much on that car. Just an opinion.
If I put 100k into a lawn mower it would whip that car too, but guess what, I'm still riding around on a damn mower while you're riding around in a pimp ass benz with performance to boot....I love statements like yours, you don't realize that when you buy these cars, you buy them not for performance only. Homeboy could be riding aroud in a Ford Tempo w/ 100 grand invested, but its still shit, with this car comes STATUS, saying "look at me, look at my money, look at what I can afford" when you grow up and get a career, wife, kids, etc....its (I'm hoping) not all about stoplight drag racing anymore....

Way to go out in style Sneakin Deacon.

I've been researching the AMG E55 since reading these posts. Potentially the baddest 4-door sedan on the planet right off the production floor.

I've got a little over half invested in the Evil Twin but I would seriously consider trading up if a found an AMG E55 owner goofy enough for an even trade.

Maybe not, but extremely impressive ride regardless. I hope to run into one and go at it on the motor. Should be a very close race.

Good post SD. Bowing down and still talking about it.
