I was at a red light waiting for it to turn green so I could make my turn when a red Viper came through the intersection at a pretty quick pace. My light changes and after making the turn I end up next to him at another light. I wasn't sure if he would want to plya so I left the light kind of quick with him out ahead of me, I shifted into 2nd and gave it enough gas to pull even with him. I guess that was enough for him to gun it. I followed suit and ended up giving him about a half a car lead on me. Third gear made that up for me and maybe a little pull, but 4th gear was enough to start pulling nicely. Speeds started to near the excessive mark so with him at my back bumper I let off and slowed down to cruising speed. I dropped back along side him and gave him the thumbs up but he looked kinda sour.

In any case it was a nice impromptu run that I really wasn't sure of the outcome. I don't know alot about Vipers but it looked to be an older one with the ragtop roof and center exit exhaust, which I'm told they went to in '96.

 

Thanks for the compliment but I'm not even close...there are a few faster ones running around town. It does alright and fits my plans well.

Yeah, once I get into 4th and 5th it pulls alot better then my 103mph trap speeds let on. I'm having some fun with that fact on the SRT board right now .

 

Hmmm.....that sounds weird considering he traps around 17mph faster than you......

 

Like I said earlier my car acts totally different from a higher mph roll then my trap speeds would lead you to believe. I'm actually at a disadvantage and running lower traps with my new gearset.
