I am still in shock and disbelief as to what happened but here it goes. Coming home from New Port Richey Hooters cruising on US19, I see an 03 Cobra turn onto 19. I am about 1000 feet in front of him. I see headlights dipping big time when he is shifting and he flys up to me. Me and my buddy are like sweet ass car. I give him the thumbs up and he just looks at me like I have 3 heads. He proceeds to drive very fast, speeding up and slowing down, popping it up in 2nd gear a few times. His wife is in the car also. I wasn't going to race due to it being Halloween and there was like 10 people pulled over on US19 on the way down. He is doing around 80 the whole way down 19. He got on it next to me and it moved pretty good but honestly I wasn't impressed. It had loud exhaust, 3 gauges on the a-pillar, and most likely a smaller pulley from the sound but not sure. He turns off and I give him the friendly nod and thumbs up and he yells "Get that toy out of here". I look at my friend and reiterate what he said and we both laugh. I decide to make chase with him on the road he turned off of. I pull up next to him and he just points and laughs at my car in his redneck lingo. I yell Ford, atleast they circled the problem!!! He says some more redneck slang and drops it down to 2nd gear and floors it, I couldn't make chase because of the car next to me. We slow down for the light and my buddy yells FORD- Found on Road Dead. He yells unless you running 10's you ain't got nothing on this here. Me and my buddy almost fell out of the car laughing. My buddy yelled not with those bald ass tires and stock Heaton. These tires were stock F1's that were bald as shit. We finally get some open space and he is at my back bumper and he is ready in second gear. I drop to second and brake boost and just floor it, he floors it and maybe from some act of GOD I stayed the same distance until the end of 3rd gear were I shut down because it is still a busy road and don't want to risk anything. He pulls next to me I yell what happened and he had the dumbest ass look on his face. I wonder what he was telling his wife. I was praying for a stoplight to launch on him but didn't get it. My WRX right now has been returned to stock because I am selling it. How in the hell I stayed even with an 03 from a roll who in that form is up prolly 20 mph on me has still got me puzzled. I have no idea. I am guessing he is a horrible driver and coulldn't shift, his tires were bald as shit, and I had the biggest stroke of luck at one time ever. There is no way I should have been any less than 5 trains back on a Cobra like that. Either way that is what happened. Long story but felt I needed to share with everyone. I guess he should bring it to Ford and have it checked out. He didn't have a mullet, but did have a gay little diamond earing in his ear and at 40 you are just trying to hard buddy. PS- I already know a stock Cobra would walk me every which way along with Mach 1's. My territory are the GT's. The car is way faster than mine I guess the driver wasn't. Take care -KEVIN

basically....a supposed 03 cobra driven by an old man and his wife was egging kevin on. The cobra geezer said, 'get that toy outta here', referring to kevin's wrx. Then he says, 'unless that car can run 10's or quicker, it ain't gonna hang'. so kevin drops it a gear as does cobra geezer.
Instead of the 03 cobra running his ass down, kevin held his own and shut down becuase of the other cars on the road. Then the cobra geezer looked at him like he [kevin] had 3 heads.
Then kevin says that he knows he should've been walked, must've been a shitty old geezer man driving.

Sorry for the long post and lack of paragraphing lol. Cliff Notes version- som redneck in an idiot had a modded 03 Cobra and kept starting a race, I held him off in my now stock 02 WRX from a 2nd gear roll thru top of 3rd. Don't know why he should have put trains on me but he didn't. Prolly his redneck inability to drive and shift. Hey Eric you go to the Suabru challenge??? Some guys told me it was a blast. It was for sure an 03 Cobra by the bumper, wheels, spoiler, and supercharger. Will that is sad mph for them 03 Cobras. 103-105 is pathetic, they should be hitting almost 110mph stock, but by the way this idiot drove I don't doubt it for one second.
