My friend got a ticket the other day for his exhaust being to loud. He has a 96 ex civc with tanabe racing medallion exhaust. He said he was sitting at the light when a cop pulled up next to him. He said the light turned green and he slowly pulled forward (not wanting to get a ticket). He said the cop immediately pulled behind him and turned his lights on. The cop wrote him a ticket and then told him “this is my number one ticket I give out, and I never loose so don’t bother fighting it”. Does anyone know much about this statute and does anyone know how to fight it? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks

 

Umm..if it's louder than stock...you're pretty much gonna be fighting a loosing battle. Just pay it and deal w/ it.

Or put the stocker back on sign off on it or something(if you can) and put the fart pipe back on.
