I raced a 98 tt supra from a dig ... :D
So ... this is a very short story, but his mods are (i know them cuz my bro is friends with him) FMIC, 3.5" downpipe /w no cat, pushing close to 20lbs (ill ask my bro what else he has to be pushing those #'s)
The light hits green ... and i got traction, i can't believe it. I pulled him really hard in first and when i hit second i spun real bad from the powershift and he started to creep on me from what my passeneger says, then i hit 3rd with minimal spin and he shut down. Overall verdict? 3+ car lengths at 75+ mph. Shows you what a good driver v. a Supra and a bad launch can do for ya

On another note, on the way home i ran into a lotus espirit turbo, looked to be mid 90s but im not a lotus expert. I only had room to finish second gear and hit the breaks, but he was on my door until i let off.
So in the past 4 days I've raced a 97 or so Viper r/t 10, a mid 90s lotus turbo, a 98 tt supra, and ....... a 91 305 tbi camaro A4. hehehe So good races all if anyone is on the board

What all is done to your car?? It sounds like a believable story to me.
I raced a BPU Supra 0n 19 lbs of boost and race gas that ran a 11.9@119 from a second gear roll back when my car only had headers and an intake and he was able to pull slowly on me. I definately would have won from a dig because the whole race didn't even start until he could spool his boost up first. No rpms=no boost=no power.

87 mustang lx hatch, 5.0 of course , 5spd of course, 3.73, all the free mods. Sway bar was removed before i got the car so it has nice weight transfer, some subframe connectors, nice headers, open H pipe, flowmasters, pro 5.0 shifter. Like i said though, we went to 75 and HE let off, we all probably have a good idea what would have happened around 100, but that's a 1/4 mile right there, and most of my mods are more tuned for nice 60ft times. I trapped almost 80 in the 1/8th with the tires still spinning at mid track, too.
He has an electronic safc II boost controller also, 2 3/4" exhaust, nice car, but he either bogs or spins when he launches.

I'd say 75, it was a split second before I hit 4th gear. Maybe goopster can chime in and tell me what speed he is going at about 5700rpms in 3rd gear.
