Silver SRT4 vs old LT1
I was riding shotgun with a friend in his red LT1 when a silver srt4 comes up on us... Hes getting all excited... I tell him to chill out and stop picking on skittles since he always seems to get them.
Well the SRT4 pulls up next to us... We both down shift..... and i see him point his finger to give us the go... Well I know the SRT-4s have better bench times than LT1's but its amazing what a few bolt ons can do.
The LT1 pulled pretty good 1st-3rd when he let off.
Guy gave us a wave and we went on our way...
The neon looked almost brand new. Sure it needs a good break in.... the LT1 well... shes got 122,000 hard miles of breaking in.

I know it's close but stock for stock I would put my money on an LT1 any day over an SRT-4.

I havent seen any SRT-4s run at the track so im not sure what to expect out of them with a average driver.
This story took place at the track... I like to add in a realistic street race feel to the story.
Term if you cant beat awad2000 you really dont wanna race me or my friends red lt1 with the high miles. If i ever see yuh around it could happen though. Im looking out for your feelings man!

... me too. LT1's may be hard to modify, but stock they still are quick in manual form.

read the other post of me betaing the red LS1 sat. night...was only by about 1/2 but...nevertheless...still a win
