The SE-R tastes its first skittle
On my way home tonight I get stopped at a redlight and I have an empty lane next to me. I look in my rear view to see what kind of competition I may have tonight. I see the silouette (sp?) of a newer dodge neon so I get dissapointed. You know that feeling you get when you want to run and a minivan pulls up next to you
. So anyway I am just minding my own buisness and I hear a rev and a blow off valve. I look and yep, theres a nice looking intercooler sitting in the bumper of this silver neon. Oh look its got an AEM sticker on it too. It must be fast, I think to myself
. The guy is still revving and blowing off like he's a badass. i just sit there idling. He doesn't seem to realize that since he came up from behind that the stock looking se-r with an exhaust also has an intercooler to match on the front side of the car
. The light gets ready to go green so i hold my revs at about 3grand. He does the same. Down comes the green. We are both spinning pretty bad but fortunatly Nissan did their homework and put an lsd in the se-r's standard so i begin pulling, Shift to second, pulling harder, shift to third, its starting to get ugly. I shut down at the top of third (around 85ish) because there is no hope for the silver neon and I really didn't want to press my luck in fear of track officials that may be hiding. I slow down and he just keeps going enough to get ahead of me and then he slows down as well. As my turn comes up I roll next to him and he wouldn't barely look at me. The light ahead turns yellow and he just floors it through it and I turn right to head home. That was the first time I have seen an srt-4 run in person. Quick little cars, just not quick enough tonight
