there is respectable times and people. try gaining respect by being a nice guy instead of trying to earn respect through what kind of car you drive or how fast or slow it may be. You can't expect to come on here and immediately jump in the deep end of the pool when in reality you should be near the shallow end.

 

you are right if you ask anyone that has met me in person i'm a nice guy(smartass at times). to be honest with you my car has been out almost a year i have gone to gandy and raced many times. i have put 18,000 miles on my motor this year. i came to this site because i have been told this is where the fast cars are. since joining people have been right up my ass. I tell you a quick story i was out a month ago at shell about 3;30 am there was a zo6, datruth,smoores nsx, supercharged corrado and a red roush mustang. i was out there to find a race. So was everyone else but eveyone wanted the nsx. i told the zo6 lets run. he says against the civic? i only want to run one time> the guy in the nsx not interested so after being laughed at i said if nobody will run i"m leaving. so dj trauma in the roush tells me this is for fun right. breaking my balls. then we go to the bridge while driving he says some of you impoert guys are crazy and like to go fast and go over 100mph. So i told him no speed if he pulls me let off if i pull him i'll let off. he says ok next thing i know he is purging nitrous and laughing i really thought i'm over my head and fucked. so we run i lied i didnt let off as i pulled i stayed in it we went to about 145mph my speedo buired i had 2 cars by the end of 4rth. a good kill. Now who there was being cocky . i was polite and i won then i went home thinking why was everyone being dicks all i wanted to do was race not waste peoples time. I cant tell you how many domestics have gone to race me and waived goodbye the second they hit the gas now that is cocky. the way i look at it if the car is fast then you shouldnt be waiving ,but you should have 2 hands on the wheel. maybe i act this way because because this is the way many of the members act towords other people. the good thing for me is i can usually back what i say and all i've said of any importance is the time i have run in my car what is wrong with that? lighten up guys arent we just having fun? relax people in glass houses should not be theowing stones

My nomination for most ignorant post of the year.

 

i'm surprised more of you don't know him...as we all went out to the same spots this summer...etc...etc...and many of you were there the night ron ran the chevelle...and i ran the lightning.

in person ron has always gotten along with everyone...and at track day i am sure things will be the same...

the fact is, many people don't have respect for honda's...and while i could careless...i can see where ron is coming from...especially when cocky v8 owners get slaughtered and then make excuses...

 

unfortunately you just have to deal with it. About 98% of hondas are all riced out and they truely are slow. There are the few exceptions but they are rare. Just do what i do. Learn to roll with it. When they wave bye it just makes the kill that much sweeter. i get the same crap from people you do. Just try not to take it all personally.
