New to VW Tech

I just picked up my first VW. It's a 2002 VW GTI 337 in Reflex Silver. The body has 94k miles and the engine 43k. I managed to pick it up for only $2,500. It needs a little bit of work but it should be an awesome car. It will need:

- Front bumper and lip
- Driver's side fender
- Intercooler and map sensor (someone tried liquid nails as repair...pic below will explain everything)
- Door panels reupholstered
- Headliner
- Paint and body repair in a few spots
- Full Neuspeed Exhaust
- APR Downpipe
- Neuspeed swaybars
- Generic short ram intake
- ABD strutbar
- New OEM Clutch
- Jensen 7" LCD Headunit
- 18" shot-peened BBS wheels exclusive for the car

Well its obviously a bit rough but it seems to mainly easy things to fix. Cant really beat the price.
That's what I was thinking. First order of business is to find an intercooler/map sensor and mount it properly. I managed to obtain an oem pancake pipe from the original owner. Right now there is a 12" long coupler in place of that. I'll post my progress as I go along.

Ok, now that I've looked a little more. Is that a bar of some sort holding the glove box closed?
Door cards are a pretty easy fix if you take your time, you'll just need to pick what color you want them to be.

Ha, I was looking at buying that thing but the ad seemed like it needed more work than they described. The kid listed it as his mothers car... once I saw that and then the shape it was in, I stopped looking. Hopefully you can polish that thing up and make it worth something.
Yep it was his mothers car lol. I managed to seal the intercooler just enough to drive it around the block. It drove perfect until the map sensor separated again.
