Default Need opinions on rims

So I just bought a 2000 Jetta GL and Im looking to get rims.. I was gonna go with 18's but I have been told I can fit 19's, I like the idea of 19's but have never had a VW before, what is everyones opinion or choice of size between 18's and 19's? ANy feed back is greatl appreciated...Thanks

18s is pushing it in my opinion. 17s look perfect and 19s are way to big.
