Default I Need To Borrow Something Tomorrow!!!

alright, so my buddy's coils came in, and we need to get the suspension bushings and shit off thats under the hood. if ANYYYONE has the tool to remove this:


can you pleae shared_pm me so we can borrow it tomorrow?

also, everytime we use a wrench it just spins.

i was told you need an allen key to counter the bolt though..... we cant figure this shit out.

Nope, you can always jack up the car, and and put a hell of a bite on the strut shaft (CROME SPLINE COMING OUT OF THE SRUT HOUSING) with a big set of vise grips. they will spin up against the fender wall, and lock the shaft in place.

that will fuck the shaft up, which in turn will cut the seals inside the strut. Rendering it worthless. You can use an impact to get the nut off. with the impact on the nut and you holding the shaft(either by hand or by padded pliers) it will come off. Looks like he has koni's so no allen key needed. You might be able to get a spark plug socket on the big one and a 1/4" drive socket on the other with an extension going though the plug socket. If you can't get it, hit me up and i'll try to help out.

Umm I've never seen it damage the spline before, You would have to be the incredible hulk to pull that off. I'm just trying to give him a way of doing it, without air tools.

mu buddy here in lakeland actually has the special VW tool. but he wont be home til around 3p.m. i just used an impact wrench. if you dont have one, just put some muscle into it
