It's possible, but unlikely that both tail light bulbs would go out simultaneously. Check that the plugs aren't loose. If that doesn't work then I'd say to just go ahead and buy new bulbs. Even if it turns out to be a wiring problem, it's not that much of a loss, and either way, you're going to need to replace your bulbs eventually.

If your taillights were working just fine before, it should be as simple as changing a fuse. I don't see how the wires would cross or lose connection randomly.

Also, if the fuse is intact, try pulling it out and reconnecting it. It's possible that it got loose through vibration.

Hahaha. No problem, man.
I just did a google image search for "mk3 gti fuse"

VWvortex Forums: '94 SLC fusebox diagram

Turned out to come from a VWVortex discussion (figures). Some guy wanted the diagram for his 94 Corrado. They all use the same wiring system for OBDI, so it should apply.

lol right on, but since alot of stuff is attatched to fuse 10 that would mean that all of that would be not working as well right? cuz everything else on fuse 10 works, just not the tail lights.
