Need some help...
if you absolutely insist on modding you're 2.0 and hope to make any reasonable horsepower at all, you must go forced induction and even then, don't hope for much. 1.8t is a very reasonable solution.
Yeah, i was talking to magoo and unless i can find a ridiculously cheap low mileage 1.8t im going to stick with my 2slow and just make it look like a beast until then. ha. who knows. thanks for all the input guys. and i wish there were meets closer to tampa than st pete and clearwater...
Thats what i said. im probably going to just wait it out and get a good 1.8t and beast that shit up or even a vr6. who knows. it wont be for at least another 2 years though. i was talking about making the body look good. i plan on getting that mk5 look alike kit right after i get some wheels. if i dont get the engine now i have to wait until after schooling. at least my golf will look good...until you lift the hood. ha

Haha. well i went over to dubtechnik.com like jetta told me and there are some pretty sick things i like. and yeah. i can make it look nice but itll still be slowwwww. haha. and i was also thinkin...everyone says i should do this. switch my transmission from an automatic to manual. think i should? i would love to drive a stick way rather than an automatic. just want there to be no problems with it...
Alot of the auto trannys have problems as far as I know the only problem you may have is your shift linkage If you do a manual swap unless mark4 2.0s are hydro but basically if you want to be on the safe side I'd do coils and wheels and do your motor slowly so you can make sure it's exactly what you want and it's problem free. And do a manual swap at the same time. If you got into this car hoping it would be fast for a low price I'm sorry but that probably won't happen. You can make power out of a vw but it tend to be a little more exspansive and if you dnt do it the right way you'll have lots of problems down the road so you might as well do it the right way the first time. I've learned this after tryin to rush a couple projects. But like magoo said I think a 1,8 with some bolt ons would be the way to go or a full build if you have the time and money. But do wheels and coils first
your car will look way better
your car will look way better
