Yeah it's probablly the slowest class out there aside from of the low production and some of the formula classes. If you check out scca.org and look up the gcr you can see what cars run in our class, Improved Touring C. Oddly enough the golf and jetta MKIV's are in a class higher. Guess they didn't think the bug could get down to weight to be in the same class.
Gonna run 225/50/16's from either Hoosier or BFG, 1 set might last a season (approx. 9 weekends)

 

Not too bad, Ive always wanted to get into SCCA but never had the car to dedicate to it.

 

this is my second run as a driver. Was a crew chief for a GT1 team, crewed a bmw team for a 24hr race, and did a bunch of autox. I'm surprised that most of the guys posting in this forum don't at least give autox a try, something competitive to do with your car and actually get to see what works and whats just rice. Did I mention cheap?
