Where to get good motor mounts?
If you just want to replace your present ones there is a VW junk yard in St. Pete that you can go to and get all of them for about $15-20 around that. But if you get poluathyne mounts you will feel alot of vibration in the car cause its so stiff! Unless you want your car feeling like an old lunch box I suggest getting normal ones or even the used ones from the junk yard!

If you want upgraded motor mounts do the VW Motorsport. They are hard rubber mounts so they still soak up some vibration. Velocity Sport sells the VW Motorsport mounts. Dont do polyurethane. Your car will vibrate all the time badly. You might be able to put up with it for a while but youll get tired of it. Imagine EVERYTHING in your car rattling constantly from being shaken loose. A poly insert is okay to use just dont use a poly mount. I had the VWM front and tranny mounts on my 85 2.0 16v with a stock rear engine mount. It vibrated some but not bad and felt very solid. I didnt have any interior panels in that car except the dash so I didnt notice anything rattling
